Job description

Our client, a consulting firm, is looking for a Lead UX Designer to join their team. This will be full time/direct hire and be fully remote, you can be located anywhere in the US! They are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience focused on UX Design and Research. Having UX research is a must!

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end design projects, ensuring outcomes meet both business and user goals
  • Champion excellent user-centered design standards
  • Work with the team to facilitate workshops with clients to support them through a participatory design process
  • Lead UX aspects of design projects including user research, usability testing activities, data analysis and development of customer journey maps and prototypes
  • Build trusted relationships with internal/external account stakeholders
  • Present design work confidently to stakeholders and build trusting relationships
  • Stay up to date with latest design and technology trends
  • Provide design solutions across various touchpoints (e.g. websites, mobile, apps)
  • Create design strategies, wireframes, prototypes, design systems
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of all aspects of the Experience Design approach, with the ability to apply them flexibly across a variety of project types
  • Ideate and co-design with peers and clients in a positive and collaborative manner
  • Mentor designers while being hands-on with execution of client projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in user experience, information architecture, or interaction design roles
  • A hunger to learn, humility to listen, and smarts to deliver
  • A desire to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop excellent user experiences for our clients
  • Strong client-facing consultation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Expert understanding of interaction, responsive and service design, and usability best practices
  • Proven experience with user flows, IA, site maps and wireframes, and with creating interactive prototypes at various levels of fidelity
  • Ability to conduct discovery, user research, and user testing activities and deliverables
  • Expert experience with modern design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch & Figma
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex digital engagements; leading design activities in both agile and waterfall environments
  • Experience working with and developing design systems
  • An understanding of relevant technologies for desktop and mobile and interest in emerging technologies such as AR/VR and IoT. High-level knowledge of front-end development
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business and project needs
