Job description

Our beauty client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their Los Angeles team. The Logistic Coordinator is responsible for handling all international and domestic shipments. The goal of Logistic Coordinator is to ensure on-time targets are achieved and that all shipping procedure are followed and delivery of goods are on-time to meet customer’s target. The communication with customer must be smooth, professional and prompt.

 

Overall Roles and Responsibilities:     

  • Provide shipping quote to customer and sales team
  • Provides shipping instructions and reviews suppliers shipping documents for accuracy
  • Creates shipping documents as required
  • Communicate effectively with customer’s freight forwarder or freight forwarder on shipment arrangement and target timing
  • Update shipment status to customer and record update in MAS
  • Follows up shipment status and custom clearance and help troubleshooting on all shipments 
  • Monitor shipment dynamics and update customer as needed
  • Interacts with vendors to obtain shipping information such as invoice packing list, packing method…etc
  • Utilizes purchasing and inventory software to update shipment status
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with vendors and customers 
  • Communicates pertinent information in a timely and professional manner
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Qualifications/Education/Requirements: 

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in related business or technical discipline preferred
  • Min 1-2 years’ handling international shipments (not a must, but preferred)
  • 2-3 years’ experience in international trading or import business
  • Requires good math skills
  •  IT capability is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communications and attention to detail
  • Bilingual Chinese/English or Korean/English a plus

Additional Skills: 

  • Strong computer/PC skills, IT capability is a huge plus
  • Microsoft Office proficiency 
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and fast learner
  • Multitasking and positive attitude to handle fast pace environment
