Client Overview: Our client is a fashion house presenting the latest must-have collections for every trendsetter.
Position Summary:
Designer will oversee the Men’s bottoms category: denim, non-denim, long bottoms, shorts, denim jackets from initial concepts through product delivery. Responsible for creation of color, print and fabric direction, cads, tech packs and sample development.
Men's Designer (Denim) Responsibilities:
- Develop new fabric and colors per seasonal calendar
- Develop new trims, packaging
- Create cads and line plans
- Create tech packs to update and maintain from concept through production
- Organize samples, trims and development library
- Work and follow up with fabric department on new and existing fabrics
- Market and trend research
- Daily communication with overseas vendors
- Attend and navigate fit sessions
Men's Designer (Denim) Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Design or related field skills
- 5-7 years’ experience in Men’s bottoms and denim
- Strong knowledge and experience with denim washing
- Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop (full Adobe suite a plus)
- Must be ambitious, self-sufficient, self-starter
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to change
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented – excellent calendar adherence and ownership
- Understanding and enthusiasm for brand
