Client Overview: Our client is a luxury menswear brand

Merchandise/ Planner Temp Responsibilities:

Merchandising & Buying

  • Preform weekly allocations to the Outlet Stores to ensure proper goods coverage in line with their capacities that supports financial targets
  • Monitor and execute distribution plan considering seasonal calendar
  • Provide updates on business as it relates to last forecast, identifying trends, and highlighting selling that exceeds or falls short of expectation
  • Partner with manager to propose markdown and promotional strategies to maximize profitability on the life of an item or category
  • Monitor seasonal performance and mix of MFO for accurate assortment planning

Business Development

  • Provide recommendations for strategic planning around growth targets for each Outlet market to manager
  • Manage Seasonality analysis setting directions to support improvements to store and space productivity
  • Maintain Outlet planning calendar to ensure all key deliverables are met and implemented

Planning & Budgeting

  • Ensure decision making process alignment with Finance, Retail and Wholesale
  • Partner with manager on OTB / MFO recommendations considering EOS projections from other channels, Sell Thru direction and individual market needs
  • Manage and maintain Brand Strategy and Pricing Tool for OUT (RIS)

In Season Operations

  • Analyze and forecast receipt management and execute consolidations
  • Monitor business trend vs BDG/FC, identify risk and opportunities and deploy action plan
  • Set priorities and parameters for weekly replenishment
  • Partner cross functionally with wholesale/retail for off-price sales and ensure all product details are in system

Merchandise/ Planner Temp Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of merchandise planning, allocation, merchandising, strategy, or business analytics, preferably in the Retail industry and/or Outlet experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Expert command of retail math concepts, applications and statistical analysis
  • Ability to interact and report on business with cross functional teams and across multiple levels of management
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and experience navigating multiple systems and large sets of data
