Job description

The Planner will work effectively with the Wholesale Director to oversee all North America wholesale planning and support the sales team to achieve maximum sales, volume and profitability. The Planner will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and reporting on the wholesale business. He/she will be responsible for facilitating the growth of the accounts by helping to develop category strategies that align with company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Sales Director in developing seasonal/annual key account and territory plans based on wholesale performance and opportunity as well as company guidelines
• Develop annual plans by account for financial budget rollup
• Develop and maintain Key Account P&Ls
• Create seasonal by door plans by account that align with category strategies & sales targets
• Identify and communicate opportunities for additional Prebook and in season sales
• Provide accurate forecasting for pre-book; following aggressive deadlines.
• Manage and analyze market bookings to ensure we are on track to achieve budget
• Partner with Account Managers to present seasonal proposals to accounts/buying teams on a seasonal basis
• Manage and forecast key account OTB (profitability) monthly
• Working closely with Account Managers, oversee weekly, monthly, and/or seasonal style selling recaps
• Update EOM sales & stock by door and provide relevant analysis for recommendations of reorders, RTVs, on order adjustments
• Monitor door performance
• Maintain sales, presentation and turnover goals
• Maintain and monitor flow plans to ensure sales, turn and profitability goals are met
• Report on retail performance to management at account, category and style levels
• Update EOM sales & stock by door and provide relevant analysis for recommendations of reorders and/or stock transfers by location
• Suggest opportunities for growth including adding doors, categories and regions based on retail performance
• Identify potential challenges and develop solutions on all wholesale business channels
• Monitor and Control MDA, MU, RTV's with the goal of maintaining retail relationships internal profitability
• Partner with Account Managers to prepare for and attend key seasonal market appointments, SMU plans, marketing opportunities, key account documents
• Strategize with wholesalers on growth and profitability management to ensure their confidence and partnership
• Work closely with Account Managers to provide pre and post market analysis
• Work with Director to manage the budget process, forecasts and month end reconciliation
• Communicate weekly wholesale reporting
• Assist with presentations and budget meeting preparation
• Department Super User: SPS Commerce

Qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related
• Advanced excel skills
• SPS Commerce Experience
• Ability to think analytically
• Strong communication skills
• 5+ years Wholesale/Retail planning
• Finance experience a plus
• Ability to strategize and recommend opportunities for growth and profit
