24 Seven is partnering with one of our footwear and apparel brand clients to find them an Apparel Product Developer to join their team for this full-time salaried position with great benefits and exceptional work/life balance. Brief details are below. 

This is an exciting position that will work in a hybrid model in Portland, OR. Relocation will be provided for the right candidate if not in the area already. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of Product Development experience, ideally up to 7, and be excited to grow with the team. 

The Role
The primary responsibilities of the Product Developer of Apparel is to establish and direct efficiencies in product specification, costing, and merchandising related issues.  The position works as a triad with design and product teams as well as with our China development office to develop product specifications.

Your Impact 
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
-Ownership of all aspects of assigned knits and wovens performance apparel end-to-end development from Line Brief through Production.
 -Work with China Development team and the Materials PD on sourcing appropriate fabrics and trims for new apparel development to obtain the best quality and price.
 -Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Costing, Brand, Catalogue, Marketing, Planning, Merchandising, and QC.
 -Maintain and organize library of seasonal materials, trims, confirmation swatches, bulk swatches, and fit samples.
 -Issue approval comments for fabric, trim, lab dips, and proto samples.
 -Prepare for seasonal fittings including organizing samples, setting up fit meetings, taking notes during the fittings, photographing fit models, and entering fit notes into PLM software.
-Participate in the creation of actionable standard operating procedures (SOP) that helps define and create clarity on the expectations of the team.
-Lead execution strategies for on time development and trouble shoot issues impeding deliverables.
- Cross check design handoffs for accuracy and consult on areas for correction or improvement to be able to confidently distribute to cross-functional teams
-Collaborate with China PD on operational issues, factory allocations, quality control matters, and general standards and procedures
-Available for domestic and overseas travel.

We’d love to hear from people with 
-Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
-5 to 7 years of Apparel Product Development. Performance apparel highly preferred.
