Job description

The Associate Product Developer supports the Director Product Development in all aspects of daily product development requirements of women’s, men’s, and any capsule knits.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the product development life cycle from inception of sketch to production ready
• Allocates and prioritizes workflow for pattern makers, tech designers and sample room
• Oversee both domestic and import product development for knits
• Owns the development milestone dates to guarantee the on-time transition to production
• Supports Tech Designers in the creation of tech packs
• Works with design partners on seasonal fabric and trim development
• Selects trims and ships to import vendors
• Responsible for managing the full history of fabric and lab dips
• Creates and manages seasonal WIP’s
• Creates send out cost sheets for domestic styles
• Manages import costing file
• Creates care labels
• Ensures quality and on time delivery of protos and sale samples
• Works with cross-functional partners to manage and report out seasonal styles and costing through style master
• Coordinates and attends fittings to ensure on time approvals
• Organizes and maintains sample racks, garment paperwork and fabric/trim libraries
• Creating/updating seasonal BOM’s
• Communicate with full package vendors to ensure quality and on-time product

Position Requirements:
• Degree in Fashion Design
• 3 years’ experience in domestic and import product development
• Experience in domestic sweater/knit production is a plus
• Knowledge of production: testing protocol, production integrity, production cycle times, fabric and garment construction
• Computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word
• Strong knowledge of product life cycle and calendar deadlines
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage workload with multiple deadlines
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
