Production Assistant Soft-Goods/Clothing, Headwear, and Accessories
Assist the Production Manager in producing the best skateboard, trucks, wheels, apparel, and accessories available.
Ideal candidate is organized, communicative, self-starting and will have a complete understanding of production with a focus on soft-goods/clothing, headwear, accessories, and more.
Job Description
• Understand and follow overlapping seasonal calendars, prebook schedules, and special order timelines
• Continuous communication with cross functioning teams to ensure on-time handoffs so production deadlines can be met
• Ability to provide clear communication to cross-functioning teams in order to ensure optimal flow of information for the “next steps”
• Understand product costing and customer pricing; how it relates to target cost/margin
• Confirm program placement and costing with cross-functional departments and vendors
• Update and maintain seasonal linelists
• Create and maintain inventory sku numbers/b.o.m.s for raw materials/trims and finished goods
• Create and maintain UPC numbers for all inventory skus
• Generate and analyze stock status and sales reports where necessary
• Issue and ensure the accuracy of purchase orders based on initial orders and re-buys (coordinate and send trims, if necessary)
• Accurately update multiple vendor WIP reports-communicate any changes to Production Manager
• Daily communication with domestic and offshore vendors regarding production status on open purchase orders to ensure accurate production and on-time delivery
• Track and manage additional procedures for custom orders
• Research, maintain, and enforce production and shipping procedures with vendors for stock, dropship, and custom orders
• Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials/trims
• Work with receiving team to maintain accurate finished goods inventory to proceed with re-buys when needed
• Trouble shoot inventory or receiving issues at product/production level
• Ability to take on special projects as needed
Job Requirements
• 2+ years of previous production/product management experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Prioritization and problem solving skills
• Proficient in PC applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Experience using Inventory Database systems
• General knowledge of product-based needs
