Job description

Our client, is a fashion company looking for a Production Assistant in either Apparel or Footwear.

Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the commercialization process from prototype fit to delivery for all apparel categories. 
  • Participate in a milestone and fit meetings.  
  • Manage the fit deadlines through follow up with the vendors. Validate that the fit modifications have been applied prior to dispatching to the fit model and tech team.
  • Prepare the fit list by priority to be shared with the team members for the fit meeting. 
  • Provide all vendors with trims and bulk material approval. 
  • Problem solve all MOQ issues, work with and advise the merchandising team on how best to proceed and update the po’s accordingly.
  • Update the reference sheet with all final wash instructions for E-COM. 
  • Update and maintain the line plan in PLM for Po’s to be issued. Input all variables such as cost, xfd/DC and terms. 
  • Create a monthly WIP and update daily. Provide PD with a style list of any concerns to proactively avoid any delays
  • Communicate daily with overseas vendors to track all production milestones. 
  • After all PO’s are issued send out a PO report to all vendors to confirm all XF and cost are correct.
  • Assist the Merchandising team with vendor delays and extensions. Negotiating discounts to provide the best solution. 
  • Provide all teams with weekly updates on status at a style level.
  • Ensuring we have 100% approved to TOP by deadline.
  • Support with input of data information in systems, PLM, maintenance of purchase orders, costing and delivery updates 
  • Collaborate with supply chain for delivery and purchase order updates 
Required Skills: 
  • 2- 3 years’ experience in apparel production experience); relevant experience in category a plus 
  • Must be able to multi-task/ability to react to change in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Must have a sense of urgency and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in Excel  
  • Ability to review samples to ensure product meets BOM & visual expectations  
  • Create and maintain Work in Process reports  
  • Detail to calendar and ensure we stay on point 
  • Positively collaborate with all teams and supervisors 
  • Ability to manage multiple 3rd party vendors
