Job description

Our client, a luxury interiors brand, is looking for an experienced Production Associate to join their team!

This role will be based out of our Los Angeles warehouse and will report to the Production Director.

The Production Associate will have a strong attention to detail and will support the team with all aspects of the production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage bespoke textile orders for high end clientele
  • Act as a liaison for sales and design for custom and bespoke rug projects from concept through final inspection
  • Responsible for oversight of the custom approval design process from initial artwork phase to production
  • Offer solutions and production capabilities to our domestic and international based sales team
  • Partner with sales, design, logistics, distribution, and mills to manage the production and workflow at all stages in the production process
  • Issue and track progress on purchase orders for stock, development, custom, and wholesale orders
  • Communicate daily with network of overseas vendors to track production progress on open orders
  • Proactively ensure timely deliveries for both stock and custom orders
  • Work in tandem with design department for sample development and review for new collections
  • Ensure SKU database is updated and accurately maintained, including cost, BOM’s, and all manufacturer information
  • Utilize and review internal weekly system reports to maintain upkeep in the ERP system
  • Data entry and cataloging of key milestones in our internal system
  • Ship reference samples, color poms, and necessary materials to vendors
  • Review strike-offs and new development to confirm they meet visual and technical expectations
  • Audit overseas inspection reports against order records
  • Oversee and pull masters for stateside inspections for stock, development, and custom rugs
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to claim and resolve defects when needed
  • Ensure organization of samples at LA showroom and warehouse
  • Support the head of production with stock and KPI reports
  • Assist with production projects as needed
Job Skills and Classifications:
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience working with overseas production textiles, home goods, or a similar industry
  • Experience managing administrative support
  • Understanding of production calendar, process, and lead times
  • Driven, independent, self starter with the ability to troubleshoot issues and present solutions to management
  • Detail oriented, analytical, organized, and efficient
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including email communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel) and Google Suite (emphasis on Sheets)
  • Basic retail math (experience working with multiple units of measure)
  • Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment, wear multiple hats, and take a strong initiative
