Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead the forecasting and demand planning team to meet or exceed service level, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and inventory obsolescence targets
• Lead the integration of the inputs from all Demand Creation organizations into the forecast (Vendor Managed Inventory, Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment, and other customer collaborations (Point of Sale data)
• Working closely with Marketing, Sales to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
• Coordinate cross functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated market assumptions, validate significant changes in forecasted demand and communicate forecast changes/issues to appropriate stakeholders
• Champion and lead the S&OP process to ensure business plan is achieved
• Collaborate with sales and marketing in developing and implementing effective strategies for SKU rationalization, slow and obsolete reduction as strategic inventory management tools
• Create a performance-driven organization through effective objective setting, performance management, and succession planning, recruitment and retention actions. Maintain and drive people development as a cornerstone to building a world-class team.
Essential Skills & Characteristics:
• Minimum 5 years of managerial level experience in forecasting, demand planning and Sales and Operations Planning in FMCG industry. Good understanding of retailers in Drug, Mass and Food
• Bachelor degree in supply chain management, operations management, business or a quantitative field is required. Master degree in similar degrees is strongly preferred. APICS certification and CPIM preferred
• Proven accomplishments in driving successful inventory/working capital strategies, COGS optimization, lead-time responsiveness and service level
• Competencies in Excel, Access and ERP system
• Must possess excellent communication skills including strong presentation skills and project management. Ability to lead and develop direct reports
• Problem solver with strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work quickly under pressure and thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
• A team player possessing strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management
• Organized, positive, and high-energy individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to execute with high attention to detail
• Skills to exercise independent judgment to research, analyze, troubleshoot, and problem solve inquiries and concerns in an objective and constructive manner; excellent problem solving skills and ability to provide conflict resolution without guidance.

• Experience working in smaller, high-growth companies is a plus
