Job description

Currently, we are seeking to hire a Senior Director of Compensation, Rewards & Well Being. As our People Senior Director of Compensation, Rewards & Well Being, you will be responsible for designing and implementing attractive, meaningful and equitable compensation, rewards and benefit plans for our company’s greatest asset, our people. Your efforts will be integral in attracting, rewarding and supporting our associates throughout their journey at the company.

You will serve as the internal expert in the overall strategy, design and implementation of a total rewards program, including base pay, incentive pay, benefits and retention initiatives. All programs and initiatives will lean in on our Guiding Principles and Values from attraction throughout the associate’s career. You will play a strategic key role on the People Team ensuring our programs are competitive, with regard to trends, best practices and costs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible to meet or exceed all goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop a strategic compensation, rewards and benefit strategy in order to drive business results, while supporting our Guiding Principles and Values. Oversee all programs in order to enhance controls, reduce risk and maintain compliance.
• Ensure the administrative aspects of compensation, rewards and benefit programs are efficient, effective and scalable, as the company continues to grow.
• Participate in and review market benchmark surveys in all areas, analyze competitive market data and develop recommendations for updates to job descriptions, salary structures, incentive targets, benefit plans and programs to ensure market competitiveness.
• Implement and oversee a 401K Audit Committee and Talent Review Committee to ensure compliance and equitable decision making.
• Draft and implement compensation, rewards, benefits and all related policies.
• Develop effective and compelling benefits training and communications strategies, tools and processes to optimize perceived value, improve employee engagement and ensure regulatory compliance.
• End-to-end process execution of selected compensation, rewards and benefit programs (e.g., annual bonus, performance management, salary recommendation, LTIP, equity grants).
• Drive health and wellness sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor effectiveness of current programs and make recommendations for changes, model cost impact and present recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all compensation, benefits, and related laws and regulations.
• Prepare annual functional budget for approval and oversee all compensation, rewards, benefits and expenses.
• Develop and implement appropriate audits for compensation and benefit related processes to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
• Partner with Sr. People Manager on the enhancement, performance, administration and maintenance of the HRIS system.
• Mentor, train, and coach direct reports and team.
• Provide expertise and guidance to other members of the People Team. Advise on pay decisions, manage required audits, policy and guideline interpretations.

Requirements:
• 10+ years in Compensation and Benefits experience in a public company.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Human Resources, Management or other related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws governing comp and benefits administration practices.
• Extensive knowledge in pay management, variable compensation and incentive plans.
• Experience drafting and computing the narrative and tabular executive compensation disclosures in a public company proxy statement, including the Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A), CEO pay ratio, and all disclosures supporting a company’s “say on pay” vote proposal.
• Experience monitoring and engaging with governance rating agency firms such as ISS and Glass Lewis for purposes of managing a company’s compensation-related ratings and anticipating and developing action plans.
• Experience interfacing with and presenting to boards of directors to review and recommend compensation proposals, programs and policies.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS, HCM, data governance and reporting and equity management platforms.
• Strong knowledge of all functional areas of HR including performance management, benefits, compensation, compliance, HRIS and change management.
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law, tax codes, and human resources practices.
• Ability to operate at a strategic level with senior executives, as well as at a tactical operational level.

• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or PHR, SPHR.
• Consistent ability to work both remotely and report into Corporate Headquarters or designated showroom, as required and in accordance with the company policies, CDC and State Guidelines.
• Must be results driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals.

• Must be capable of using and operating all equipment as required, including but not limited to: iPad, laptop, etc. Be able to move objects (including medium to large furniture items up to 75 pounds) from a lower to a higher position or horizontally from position-to-position or be able to assemble furniture while working on the selling floor or in our warehouse.
