Job description

Our client, a popular beauty brand, is looking for a Senior Manager of International eCommerce to join their Digital team, guiding the international growth of their Cosmetics and Skincare brands. 

Proximity to Los Angeles, CA or Oakland, CA is preferred. This will be a contract role for approximately 6-9 months, with an opportunity to convert to permanent status after the contract period.

Responsibilities: 

International Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Revenue Growth and Brand Education/Content Optimization

  • Responsible for the ongoing revenue growth from international online direct channels, including the website cross-border and any future direct implementations

  • Provide a perspective and guidance to Dot Com Lead and International Brand lead for future international online growth opportunities 

  • Identify opportunities for future direct online implementation, outlining pros and cons for shifting from a cross-border to a direct model 

  • Drive localization strategy by market, building a test and learn strategy and identifying and tracking cost/benefit impact

  • Build relationship with cross-border vendor, identifying opportunities for improving new user acquisition and revenue growth within our cross-border markets.

  •  Partner with Digital product lead to assess if current cross-border partnership should evolve.

  • Partner with SEO lead to identify opportunities to drive additional organic traffic to our international sites 

  • Identify opportunities to tailor the D2C promotional and content strategy for top markets, highlighting eventized moments by market to drive incremental revenue

  • Close partnership with the brand’s mobile app owner to drive incremental purchases across all D2C channels internationally 

  • Identify opportunities to make int’l online channels more profitable (contribution margin)

 

  International Reporting and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Provide S&OP and P&L guidance for brand international direct channels 

  • Build strong collaborative partnership with Operations team to optimize forecasting for international markets 

  • Management of direct international campaign reporting as well as weekly international performance reports 

 

International Audience Management

  • Partner with Integrated Marketing and Paid Media team to identify new audiences to target by market and optimize top-of-funnel and down funnel channels driving conversions to the brand’s international direct sites 

  • Partner with CRM lead to identify incremental opportunities to improve retention and conversions by market 

  • Close collaboration with UX and CRM to identify opportunities for A/B testing across different audience segments by market 

  • Partner with Customer Service team to address consumer complaints and improve user experiences  

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of ecomm experience. International experience critical.

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in driving the reach and growth of a consumer-packaged good brand internationally in the digital space 

  • Experience with forecasting and managing a complex assortment strategy for a brand with thousands of skus in market

  • Comfortable presenting and communicating with internal senior executives 

  • High energy and capable of multi-tasking and context-switching with ease in a fast-paced and ever-evolving organization

  • Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and highly collaborative environment

  • Experienced with Commerce tools such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud

  • Experienced with analytics and BI tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tabs Analytics, and Google Analytics (GA4)

  • Process-driven and extremely detail-oriented
