Senior Social Media ManagerClient Overview:
Our client is looking for a Sr. Social Media Manager, who is charged with engaging community, driving brand awareness, and growing outreach. The ideal candidate is performance-driven and knows how to build an authentic community, plus they have a passion for cultural trends and career-focused content.
This candidate will report to the Director of Marketing and will work directly with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Content, Design, Sales, and Accounts to continuously identify new opportunities for growing digital presence. This is a highly visible position at the company with opportunity for growth.
This is a full-time salaried position working remotely. Unlimited paid vacation, health benefits, 401K, and lots of perks. Travel required.
Senior Social Media Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategy across all major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube)
- Build and update a social content calendar, including sourcing imagery/videos/UGC content, creating (in partnership with design) original graphics/content/video, and writing caption copy across organic and sponsored posts
- Manage Social Media Coordinator (new hire) for support on all social media execution and organization
- Collaborate with the creative team to create engaging social-first content, as well as being able to create original lighter lift content on your own
- Ideate, plan, and launch social media campaigns that drive events, partner campaigns, new product launches, and overall brand awareness
- Monitor discussions, posts, and comments across all social media channels
- Monitor all social media profiles in real-time to identify issues in workflow or content performance, with the ability to present actionable solutions or iterations to improve and scale
- Build and manage relationships with influencers, in partnership with Talent team, and execute influencer campaigns
- Create a social run of show for all events and execute accordingly, ensuring all key moments and sponsor obligations are outlined and met
- Work collaboratively with Director of Marketing to develop a photo and video shot list creation for events
- Build project timelines within workbacks, outlining social promo plan and internal team deadlines for content needs
- Oversee reporting and analytics, driving to quarterly/yearly goals and KPIs
- Track, gather, and organize all social success metrics related to events and campaigns for client reporting
- Remain up-to-date on latest social media trends and cultural moments, as well as on cross-channel opportunities to help support goals
Senior Social Media Manager Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role managing multi-channel content with follower counts of 500K+
- A deep understanding of the social media landscape, all things pop-culture, people and trends
- An understanding of (and excitement for) 360-degree integrated events and campaigns
- Strong experience in using UTM tracking
- A strong understanding of how to use video to present content in the most shareable way, helping it to have the biggest reach and impact
- Highly organized, detailed-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple tasks on deadline
- Works well and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt a brand voice / tone of voice in writing
- Solid understanding of data and its power to help inform overall growth strategy to ensure monthly KPIs are met and surpassed
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Respects deadlines and takes accountability and ownership of responsibilities with an innate understanding of how to work within a team
- Experience with Asana a plus
- Desire to travel as needed for events
