We are searching for a rock star social media expert to lead, develop and execute a thoughtful strategy that will help us grow and drive awareness of the brand across all platforms. The ideal candidate will have a natural passion for social media, the ability to be nimble and juggle various projects that change in real time, and have an innovative + entrepreneurial spirit. Attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture is a must, as social media is a critical piece of the brand story and connection to our customers. We are looking for someone who can be both a visionary and an operator.
Responsibilities & Objectives:
· Own the brands fast-growing social media accounts, including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Tik Tok
· Develop and execute a social media strategy that supports the marketing strategy for brand and product (newness and core)
· Share and maintain the brand image and brand voice across all social media touch points.
· Lead, motivate and inspire a team of three (Associate Manager, Manager, and Sr. Manager)
· Create compelling storytelling through organic posts and stories, in partnership with Creative Content Manager
· Be the thought leader and expert voice on the ever-changing social media landscape. Monitor trends and make recommendations to senior leadership on how to develop advanced social media capabilities including talent, skills, tools and platforms.
· Source and schedule day-to-day editorial and inspirational content across social channels, reacting to “of the moment” opportunities to story tell in real time
· Create, maintain, and update the content calendar across all social media channels.
· Engage with our social community by liking, commenting, and interacting with our fans and potential customers while maintaining the brand voice.
· Nurture community by attending to all comments, messages and tagged posts on a daily and in a timely manner.
· Monitor competitive activity and community platforms to identify trends and opportunities and Benchmark social channel performance of like-minded brands within the beauty industry.
· Update and publish content across all social media platforms, in accordance with brand strategy (sales, new product launches, new distributors, partnerships, events, press hits)
· Present monthly and quarterly recaps, sharing learnings and key takeaways to optimize against key performance metrics moving forward.
· Drive internal analytics to measure the impact of all media on the overall marketing efforts and establish common metrics and benchmarks.
· Become a product and brand expert with the ability to answer various questions and complaints, while partnering with the customer service team when necessary
· Partner with Influencer Manager to ensure to ensure fluid communication with influencers on and off Instagram.
· Attend brand and industry events as a representative of the brand with the objective of creating content, and connecting with the community in real life
· Serve as the liaison between creative teams and channels to tailor social media and community strategies, to ensure consistent, but optimized, tone and message.
Experience:
· 5-7 years’ experience within Social Media specifically.
· Must be a strong storyteller and communicator with an eye for creative and innovation.
· Must understand the brand aesthetic and support our image across all touchpoints.
· Incredibly strong attention to quality and detail, specifically spelling, grammar and punctuation.
· Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints.
· Proficient in publishing and planning tools like AirTable & Dash Hudson, as well as native platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr, Newness, Clubhouse and whatever is “next”.
· Dynamic leader with ability to motivate & develop multiple direct reports, communicate effectively & persuasively with others, and establish credibility with senior management.
· Ability to use Photoshop is a huge plus.
· Ability to work with a rapidly growing business and passion for beauty industry.
