Our client, a content production company, is looking for a social media manager who is passionate about all things sports! This role will start ASAP so you must be immediately available! This will have the potential to convert to full time for the right candidate. This will start off remotely then go into a hybrid schedule come 2022 to their Hollywood Office.

The Social Media Manager is a managerial-level role in the Social Media department.  This role will collaborate with a range of departments within the organization to consistently delivering premium programmed content. The successful candidate will be an expert familiar with all major social media platforms to effectively multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment. They will use their social media knowledge to support branded/O&O content to ensure it is published in a timely manner and optimized to reach our diverse audience on all platforms. This role will ensure premium content is delivered consistently and we are consistently evolving our content to hit trends, practices, etc. that resonate with our brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and oversee planning, categorizing, and programing content across multiple brands and franchises, and how it lives across our owned social and digital network
• Directly manage junior programmer(s) in day-to-day operations, including content scheduling and publishing, writing social copy, and project tracking
• Advise VP of Social and Director of Social Strategy & Operations on cultural and social media trends, best practices, and more to inform the creative direction of our content and brands
• Own and maintain relationships with major content distribution platforms and media /content partners to ensure we are up to date on platform optimization, new platform tools, and social best practices
• Lead weekly interdepartmental meetings, including setting agenda, taking notes, and creating move-forward action items for teams
• Be the final QC eyes on all projects publishing to our platforms to ensure all content fits overall creative tone, look, feel, and voice for each franchise and/or branded partner requirements
• Create and operate systems to organize, track, and optimize UN content and releases
• Liaise between all major content teams to ensure content is posted at the correct times with the correct messaging points, graphics, and specs.
• Be the “key holder” that decides what content is posted, where it goes, and how it looks on each platform.
• Consult and collaborate with long and short form productions to ensure social audience and digital distribution are top-of-mind

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4-6 years of social media programming experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a leadership/management role overseeing social media or content creators in a startup environment
• Highly organized, focused, and detail oriented.
• Minimum 4 years writing engaging social copy in sports comedy, activism, creative, and entertainment/cultural verticals
• Deep interest and knowledge in social media and the newest updates and tool for each platform (IGTV, Snap Shows, Facebook Shows, etc.)
• Experience reacting to trends and timely moments to generate social conversation and buzz.
• Experience creating and implementing organizational systems and workflows.
• Great interpersonal skills that allow constructive collaboration across multiple departments and projects.
• Flexible and adaptable in the ever-changing digital landscape, ability to work nights and weekends when needed.
• Comfortable and professional around professional athletes and celebrities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Deep understanding of sports, music, and culture.
