Sr. Project Manager-NON REMOTE
Short description of the project:
Corporate Accounting, Power Operations and Corporate Forecasting in coordination with Risk Management and IT are undertaking the rewrite update and automation of a daily report that tracks Net Variable Power Cost change on daily basis against budget for the operational year. This report currently relies on a data query out of our system of record Endur which is then feeding an excel based model for additional outboard and burdensome calculation. This excel report has no data governance and data pre-processing, as a result the creation of the report is cumbersome.
This automation project would :
(1) explore new tools, combination of tools to minimize outboard manual processes, and streamlining some processes that need to executed as end of the process.
(2) clearly defined roles and responsibilities for all the teams involved with managing future processes and actions to create the daily report.
(3) data governance road map with clearly defined business practices and metrics to measure accuracy in hand off for data and systems.
This project will culminate with these 3 deliverables.
What is the size of the team this resource will be working with?
This person will be working with Subject Matter Experts from IT, Finance, Power Operations, Risk Management, and communicating and facilitating decision making of the steering team. This position will be working with SMEs in architecting and implementing solution, and coordinate Steering Committee meeting for status update and some decision making as needed in scheduled cadence.
Education requirements: PMP Cert preferred. Note, we're not looking for a Scrum Master
Required Skills:
Organization skills, informally lead a team through business requirement gathering workshop, document these technical requirements that bridges the business needs with IT’s language and write and present the results findings, report out on progress of in process work as well as recommendations and path forward beyond the project.
