Job description
Our client is seeking a talented Sr. Software Engineer Survey Support to join their team! The Software Development Engineer will be responsible for software interface development: analyzing, designing, building, and testing interfaces to both healthcare trading partners (primarily in ANSI X12 Electronic Data Interchange [EDI] Format), and to the financial industry trading partners using a variety of formats. In addition, they will be responsible for building desktop web and mobile web user experiences using HTML5 and mobile technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions for our internal teams and clients using Python
- Create new and update existing features on back end systems
- Come up with ideas for automating processes in our daily operations
- Respond to requests from within our issue tracking system
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Understand principles of computer science and object-oriented programming
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Advanced Python experience (please bring work examples)
- Experience with asynchronous programming in python
- Deep understanding of python based MVC frameworks, preferably Flask
- Experience with unit tests and integration test
- Experience with AWS services like SQS, serverless, lambda
- Knowledge of Linux command line
- Manipulating tables in MySQL using direct queries or a query builder
- Ability to break down complex work into daily deliverables in line with an Agile
- Execution framework
- Use of HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap to create front/back end interfaces
- Front end development experience with at least one modern framework
- Knowledge of languages such as PHP
- Knowledge of iPhone and/or Android programming languages
