Job description

Our client, an Advertising Firm, is looking for a Strategist to join their team. This will be full time/direct hire and they are ONSITE Monday - Friday. 

As part of the strategy team, the Senior Strategist will create integrated marketing and brand strategies for clients across a diverse range of industries including healthcare, finance, technology, and high education. The Senior Strategist must have a great track record of innovative thinking that’s led to reaching the right audience in the right way with the right message.


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Develop compelling brand & product marketing strategies across B2B and B2C clients, including comprehensive go-to-market strategies.
2. Use a combination of quantitative and qualitative data, industry best practices, trends, and audience learnings to develop insights and strategies that move work forward
3. Conduct primary & secondary research including focus groups, interviews and surveys, and desk research to craft strategic, client-facing recommendations
4. Develop competitive audits, content audits, audience personas, KPI analyses, brand identity evaluations, business briefs, and any other strategic deliverables that aid in creating the final recommendation.
5. Write creative briefs that include overall strategy, positioning, messaging, and creative inspiration that provide clear strategic direction to the creative team
6. Develop and present client presentations in which findings are clear, strategic, and actionable.
7. Follow up on campaign performance and proactively provide recommendations for iterative improvements that accomplish marketing success metrics
8. Stay up-to-date with audience preferences, industry marketing trends, and competitors’ activities
9. Support new business opportunities from a strategic lens
10. Collaborate across all internal departments to ensure strategic recommendations are sound and followed.
11. Take ownership of assigned projects, consistently adding value and delivering on time and within budget.


Education & Experience
Option 1: 8+ years’ experience working for an advertising agency or related marketing or business strategy field.
Option 2: 4+ years’ related experience and a BA degree (concentration in marketing, business, or psychology preferred)
Option 3: 2+ years’ related experience and an MBA degree.

· Has proven marketing strategy experience that is clearly tied to successful project outcomes
· Able to analyze large quantities of data/information to see and communicate the big picture hidden amongst all the data
· Able to work well with other departments and teams
· Is a detail-oriented but efficient self-starter
· Has proven analytical, innovative thinking, and creative problem solving skills
· Has strong written and oral communication skills
· Is highly organized, highly motivated and able to work well with many different industries.
· Has polished presentation and interpersonal skills, enabling you to present insights with confidence and ‘tell a story’ with data.
· Knows how to use the Microsoft office application suite.

· Has experience with integrated marketing campaigns, including a firm understanding of digital, social, and direct mail marketing strategies
· Has experience in the healthcare industry
· Has leadership experience
