Job description

Our client, a Digital Marketing Agency centered around data driven design is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join the team on a freelance basis starting Thursday 4/15. This is a remote position.

Overview:

The client being worked on is producing both wearable technology (already in Beta form) and is tapping the help of the agency to help bring the native app to life.

We are looking for a freelancer to create the UX architecture and UI designs for the app itself.

The UX/UI Designer Will:

  • Lead client brainstorms using design-thinking exercises to get to the root strategy for the App itself
  • Develop the use-case & journey maps for both Caregiver and Senior personas (and possibly HCPs) using client input
  • Create Sitemaps + Native App architecture (low + hi-wireframes); test wireframes and early prototypes with (6) consumers
  • Design the UI for app using existing brand guidelines
  • Package up App guidelines and designs for Dev Hand-Off

The Deliverables will include:

User Journey Mapping:

User Journey Maps for App Use Cases (also known as Customer Journey Maps) for both Caregiver and Senior personas. A user journey map is a visual representation of the user’s interactions with our app not from our point of view but from the users point of view. This helps us build empathy with the user and their needs.

These could be focused around a particular objective the user is trying to achieve with the app or how the app plays a role in checking in on their loved ones.

User Journey Mapping + App Alignment deck should contain:

  • Detailed User Flows - this is a visual representation of how different screens/features in the app are interconnected and help achieve user’s objectives
  • Identify key app features (MVP vs Ideal state) + MoSCoW analysis of the App features to understand prioritization
  • App Architecture Decisions
    • Ground rules for App design/development
    • Login process - which contains the process for authentication in the app which may answer questions such as:
    • Can anyone register? Or do you need a device / invitation code to register?
    • Development Framework - which defines the technology that will be used to build the app Ex: Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android vs. Flutter for shared app architecture

UX Build

  • App Map - think sitemap for an App that shows differentpotential screens and their hierarchy (parent-child vs sibling)
  • Low Fidelity Wireframes - Quick and dirty wireframes using pen and paper that help the user accomplish their goals, tested with a group of recruited consumers
  • High Fidelity Wireframes in a Prototype (digital, clickable) - Digital wireframes that are improved based on initial user feedback, tested again with a group of recruited customers

UI Design

  • Full fledged Visual designs in a Clickable Prototype- These are the High Fidelity wireframes but with the SilverTree Vis ID applied, these screens might change slightly in order to accommodate best-practices such as accessibility, type hierarchy, color choices, etc

Design Handoff + Collaboration:

  • Bundled Visual Designs ready for Development. Creation of an App Style Guide that outlines form styles, text styles, button styles, etc Package up all assets such as icons are exportable in multiple formats (PNGs, SVGs)
  • Experience Document that explains/outlines the app interactions to the development tea

Must Haves:

  • Experience with Native App Architecture
  • Experience with Jira, Figma, Sketch, InVision and Zeplin
