Job description
We are looking for a conceptual User Experience Director to imagine a ‘Launcher experience’ for a massively multiplayer online role-playing brand that is now expanding into wider gaming genres. To support the future ambitions of the business we are looking for a seasoned UX practitioner that can concept what a future launcher experience could look like. The role:
Understand product specifications and user attitudes, needs and behaviours through research
Auditing an existing launcher design and providing recommendations to improve it.
Reviewing competitors and entertainment experiences to inspire concept features.
Support the Strategist and User Researcher in the discovery process.
Design a UX concept for a future iteration of a gaming launcher.
Communicate design ideas and rationale to senior audiences.
Must haves:
Defining an interaction model rooted in best practices and user needs.
Partnering with Lead Designers to producing wireframes, supporting specifications, and prototypes.
Strong portfolio of UX designs that are grounded in insight and also push boundaries.
Knowledge of design systems and thinking atomically during early concept iterations
Great to have:
Experience with leading gaming brands or platforms
Experience with entertainment brands or media consumption (e.g. VOD, SVOD, TVOD)
