Our client, a home furnishing company, is seeking a Visual Stylist to join their Los Angeles team. The Visual Stylist is effectively responsible for arranging and maintaining attractive visual presentations throughout their dedicated showroom throughout the year, including preparation for special events, promotions, or seasonal shifts. Further, this role is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing all visual merchandising programs. Designs in-store visual displays in support of the organization's sales objectives. Creating appealing and eye-catching visual installs that lead the customer through the entire store. Producing window displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans and special promotions. This position will report to the Visuals/ Store management.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and present visual displays in a compelling and exciting manner in accordance with company directives
- Understand customer preferences and exercise judgment when deviating from company directives to appeal to specific customer base
- Implement store signing programs
- Continuously check selling floor for proper merchandise presentation and general housekeeping, repairs, cleaning, and straightening of merchandise as needed
- Accessorize displays using items such as props, lamps, throws, and area rugs
- Execute promotional calendar in alignment with seasonal installs and local happenings
- Pull merchandise to set up visual representations throughout the showroom floor
- Construct, paint, set up, install, hang banners and panels, as well as other items using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, staple guns, ladders, scissors, nails, spray paint, spray glue, and knives
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring ongoing safety training and awareness for employees at all levels
- Assist with special projects as assigned and perform other duties as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- 2 + years visual merchandiser experience in retail environment
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisors and other employees of the company
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Experience in the furniture industry or interior design
