Job description

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

· Oversees receiving, warehousing, distribution, and facilities operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures

 

· Ensures the fulfillment center operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training employees, and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals

 

· Develop distribution operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping

 

· Manages outbound logistics, transportation carriers, and compliance with all export laws and regulations, and distribute

 

· Complies and enforces federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping legislation requirements

 

· Safeguards distribution operations and contents by establishing and maintaining inbound, outbound, inventory control, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), 6S, and security Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and protocols

 

· Controls inventory levels and cycle count programs to achieve 99.9% inventory accuracy

 

· Generates weekly, monthly, and quarterly fulfillment operations metrics to include Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI) to meet company performance and cost objectives

 

· Reviews and prepares workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and facility plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met

 

· Experience managing logistics support required for Amazon FBA and Vendor programs, and other e-commerce sales channels

 

· Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

 

· Identifies operational inefficiencies, and lead projects designed to implement systems and processes for reduced cycle times and cost savings

 

· Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

 

· Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years’ experience in distribution/warehouse operations management in a multichannel/multinational e-commerce environment

 

· Strong leadership skills with a bias for action

 

· Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize critical and time –sensitive priorities

 

· Strong analytical, planning, organization and communication skills

 

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

 

· Self-motivated with the ability to deliver measurable results

 

· Hands-on experience developing distribution related processes, procedures, KPI’s etc.

 

· Broad knowledge of logistics and export compliance

 

· Experience working with 6S, OSHA, and ISO standards

 

· Experience working with Warehouse Management System (WMS), specifically NetSuite

 

· Experience working with ERP/MRP system, such as NetSuite

 

· Broad knowledge of Excel

 

· Certification in APICS or equivalent supply chain certifications preferred
