Position Overview:

As the Account Manager, you would be responsible for serving as the key client contact and effectively manage the daily workflow of three-six accounts while driving consistent media results.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the key client contact and effectively manage the daily workflow of three-six accounts while driving consistent media results 
• Manage high-level media relations and provide strategic counsel to client and team with regard to media opportunities 
• Work to define and analyze target markets and use positioning strategies to define a unique product identity 
• Develop, deliver and lead strategic client programs and initiatives and identify strategic media relationships and new and creative media strategies 
• Lead, manage and develop team members by reviewing work and providing constructive feedback to generate effective pitching and account workflow 
• Provide strategic guidance to clients and team members on an ongoing basis and set account priorities and communicate them accurately and efficiently to team members 

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field 
• 8+ years’ experience planning, arranging and executing all PR and communication activities 
• Excellent management skills, verbal/written communication skills, and presentation skills 
• Team player with hands-on experience not just managing, but truly mentoring direct reports and cross-functional teammates 
• A well-connected professional who has strong relationships with key industry media, influencers and organizations 
• A proven track record of delivering results for clients 
• In tune with industry trends and innovations to inform client analysis and pitching strategy 
• Pop culture and social media savvy 
• Strong understanding of the media (traditional and digital) and knowledge of key members of the press
