AP/ AR Clerk

Consumer goods company based in OC is looking for a AP / AR Clerk to join their team. 

Responsibilities 
• Process vendor bills and ensure they are coded and authorized prior to input 
• Audit invoice activity in order to ensure accuracy and timeliness 
• Manage and assume responsibility for all accounts receivable and accounts payable 
• Make bank deposits and perform bill payments 
• Communicate with clients, in regard to past due invoices 
• Perform clerical/administrative functions including; data entry, typing, file maintenance, document preparation 
• Support sales and project management departments as needed 
• Ensure that margins and markups are calculated and reported accurately, as this has a significant financial impact 
• Create and submit proposals to customers for approval

Education/Experience: 
• Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Requirements 
• One to five years of accounts receivable experience required 
• Knowledge of billing procedures 
• Strong attention to detail required 
• Strong work ethic and goal oriented 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, and analytical skills required 
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment, with a sense of urgency 
• Working knowledge of accounting theory required 
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word required 
• Experience with QB required 
• Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred
