Assistant Video Editor

As an editor at this company, you'll be responsible for assembling raw video assets into finished products for broadcast, digital billboards, social media, internal events, retail and virtually any other screen you can imagine. This is a key role in our post-production process and your talents will play a critical role in determining the quality and success of the final product. You'll work closely with producers, art directors, sound designers, directors and other creative leads to build impactful stories and visual communications.


You will need a strong sense of storytelling, color correction, motion graphics and audio editing. The role also demands a strong understanding of industry standards associated with video production.


Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge of established video production procedures
  • Participate pre-production and special project meetings
  • Verify quality and completeness of own work, and the work of other video editors
  • Communicate with producers and directors to meet project expectations.
  • Strong understanding of rendering and best practices
  • Create radio commercials


Skills:

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in video editing and motion graphics
  • Ability to edit video varying in length from 15-second TV spots to 3-minute product videos
  • Expert knowledge of Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop Illustrator, etc.)
  • Create/edit and animate graphics to be used in various videos
  • Strong understanding of rendering and best practices
  • Strong understanding video resolution, codecs, and file conversations
  • Experience partnering with creative directors and producers to realize a singular vision
  • Experience color grading
  • Expert understanding of file types used in media production


Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of DaVinici
  • 3d animation
  • Motion Graphics
