Associate Marketing Manager

Our client, a leading retailer, is looking for a contract Associate Marketing Manager for an immediate project.  The Associate Marketing Manager oversees the development and execution of all Toddler & Baby site and email content marketing. This role reports to the Marketing Manager of Kids and is key partner to Digital Merchandising, Creative, Digital Production and the Email, Contact Strategy and Analytics teams. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities 
• Lead content strategy and oversee execution for all Toddler and Baby site and email content, from story creation and briefing through final validation (QA) and launch 
• Build an effective and compelling site and email story cadence for Toddler and Baby grounded in business priorities and marketing hindsight, in partnership with Email and Analytics teams 
• Create and deliver a high volume of clear, inspiring, strategic briefs to the Creative team, bringing in learnings from consumer insights and competitive activity 
• Partner with Toddler and Baby Digital Merchandisers to understand their business needs and support new growth strategies, while maintaining a balance with Omni Marketing priorities 
• Participate in the development of digital story templates, maintaining a library of templates in partnership with Creative and Editorial teams and driving the creation of Toddler and Baby-specific templates as needed 
• Establish consistent linking strategies and ensure Marketing stories are backed by strong product and compelling sort experiences 
• Leveraging weekly analyses and seasonal hindsights, maintain an understanding of our marketing effectiveness and drive for content optimization based on learnings 
• Support Marketing Manager on Kids site and email content development and execution as needed, including major timeframes such as Kids & Baby Sale and Back to School 

• 2-3 years of experience in online consumer marketing; content marketing experience required 
• Ability to translate product stories into compelling marketing messages; a natural storyteller 
• Data-driven thinker with a customer focused mindset 
• Solid analytical skills, ability to glean insights and tell a story from data 
• Incredibly organized and able to prioritize projects on the go based on business impact 
• Team player with top notch people skills who can foster dynamic relationships with peers across many cross-functional groups 
• High energy level and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changeable environment, comfortable with ambiguity 
• Self-starter with an innate sense of curiosity and eagerness to test and learn 
• Experience in fashion and retail strongly preferred 
• BA/BS required
