Associate Sales Planner

Contemporary denim brand is seeking an Associate Sales Planner to join their dynamic Sales Planning team. This role includes merchandise planning and sales reporting (forecasting and analysis) for various categories, for a global premium denim and sportswear brand. Background with Consumer Goods in a wholesale environment preferred. Data aggregation and historical sales analysis within an apparel or accessories industry helpful. 

Responsibilities: 
• Assist planning team in the maintenance of annual, seasonal and monthly merchandise reporting for assigned product categories 
• Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for growth down to the SKU level 
• Plan sales and forecast appropriate inventory levels by season for key company initiatives, and closely monitor on a weekly/monthly basis 
• Identify potential inventory liabilities and submit appropriate action plans / recommendations 
• Partner with counterparts in order to strategically move business toward increasing profit for product categories 
• Good understanding of retail supply chain management inclusive of inventory planning 
• Compile historical product / category performance and reporting. Will perform ad hoc reports 
• Will update and reforecast Item / Core programs. Monitor sku level performance working with cross functional partners to maintain service level, supporting investment quantities and flow forecasts 
• Ability to run and manage weekly standardized Excel reports, configuring data and troubleshooting 
• Develop effective working relationships with Cross Functional team members; ie, Merchandising, Production, Sales, Design, Creative, IT and Sales 
• Will manage and adhere to Company calendar deadlines and due dates, communicate issues 

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar, experience may be considered in lieu of education 
• Minimum 2 or 3 years of related planning/allocation experience in an Wholesale environment, apparel industry a plus 
• Detailed knowledge of retail math, strong analytical skills, understanding of supply chain inventory management 
• Must have excellent time-management and organization skills to meet due dates 
• Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment 
• Ability to build internal team partner ships and relay solid lines of communication 
• Proficiency/ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and heavy reporting experience 
• MS Word and Outlook proficiency 
• Financial system and or apparel systems experience; MS Dynamics AX knowledge helpful but not required
