Associate Social Media Manager

Client Overview: 

Our client is a popular beauty brand creating the latest must-have cosmetics and skincare products. Their on-trend, innovative, and modern approach is applauded by beauty trendsetters.

Position Overview:

In this role, you would be responsible for leading the social media strategy and aligning macro-marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Social and Brand Experience Senior Manager to develop and execute a  
social media strategy

• Align macro-marketing initiatives, considering product spotlights, commerce goals, retailer promotions, press, events, and partnerships

• Establish a social content calendar customized for each platform, determine what type of content will work best on each platform, and optimize accordingly
• Work with the Social Coordinator to manage community engagement, ensure accessibility to followers, and engage with relevant influencers and brand partners to grow the brand’s social presence
• Partner with the Influencer Marketing Manager to ensure influencer campaigns are aligned with social calendar and strategy
• Develop creative and boundary-pushing content strategy specifically focused on burgeoning tools and platforms, including Instagram Stories and IGTV
• Manage and coordinate social photo shoot in partnership with creative team, ensuring  
social content needs are accounted for monthly
• Conceive and execute brand contests, brand partner sweepstakes, and create engaging  
digital and social promotions
• Serve as an expert with analyzing output from social software tools and revitalize the brand’s reporting strategy
• Be the authority on happenings and developments in the social media world and propose  
ideas of how to best incorporate them into the brand’s content and channels

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

• 2+ years’ relevant marketing experience in beauty, fashion, or retail  

• Deep understanding of the social media landscape; a general understanding of digital  
marketing including SEO and leveraging social cross channel
• Highly creative and innovative, engaged with everything cutting-edge in the social media  
space
• Ability to manage valuable relationships and collaborate with both internal and  
external partners
