Business & Operations Manager

Our client, an outdoor apparel company, is looking for an accomplished Business & Operations Manager to join their team. The operations manager will be responsible for 3PL management, logistics team, customer service, and system management. The position requires overseeing 3rd party relationships with freight forwarders, IT, and the distribution facilities to meet critical timelines, use resources efficiently, and communicate decisions effectively within the organization. The operations manager will also be responsible for data integrity, system integrations, and reporting company wide. -

• Oversee all business operational processes

• Manage the customer service, dealer services, and logistics team

• Project manage and support system integrations

• Oversee 3PL (freight forwarders, distribution centers) partnerships for North America including; track service level agreements, negotiate competitive DC contracts in US and Canada, provide volume forecasts, manage costs within budget, monitor inbound/outbound shipments, inventory management, and maintain data integrations between ERP and 3PLs

• Oversee inventory control processes

• Manage seasonal inventory buy process with key stakeholders, drive and implement seasonal calendar to meet key dates and requirements in sourcing and production, coordinate inventory planning to ensure appropriate margin calculations and accurate inventory accounting

• Oversee end to end order management, implement continuous improvements for standard operating processes and efficiencies for retail, wholesale, and eCommerce

• Manage North American Operation budgets including evaluate, reconcile and approve related invoices

• Proactively identify opportunities to reduce operations-related costs

• Develop an expertise in ERP (Netsuite) to become an internal expert and partner to other departments who rely on various reporting systems and tools for key data. -

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP software (Netsuite preferred)

• Familiarity with software implementations and EDI integrations

• Analytical and critical thinking. Ability to make recommendations supported by data and information

• Proven ability to lead and develop a team. Effective at managing interpersonal relationships

• Experience managing third-party logistics vendors

• Experience in the apparel industry a plus

• Detail oriented with strong follow through. Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment.

• Proven ability to work independently, identify opportunities for improved efficiency, and lead cross- functional process improvement
