Buyer, Men's (Off-Price)

Client Overview: 

Our client is the largest off-price apparel chain and a Fortune 500 company with 1000+ stores in the USA. They have impressive year over year growth and are predicted to have incremental sales in the BILLIONS over the next 3 years! 

Position Overview:

In this role, you would be responsible for managing all aspects of Buying for the Men's market. You'll meet with vendors on a regular basis and directly negotiate costs and deliveries. 


  • Oversee opportunistic buying; achieve targeted sales and margin performance

  • Direct balancing assortments receipts and flexing from flow vs. pack and hold

  • Conduct comprehensive research for online and retail marketplaces; identify opportunities, trends, and labels

  • Practice fiscal responsibility by negotiating pack and hold goods to offset additional costs of storing merchandise, such as additional dating and vendors holding merchandise

  • Develop highly strategic buying plans by leveraging data and market trends to achieve forecasted sales targets and drive optimal sales performance 

  • Identify new opportunities, pursue new vendors, and source new markets; establish and maintain strong relationships with various cross-functional partners, including executive management

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ Buying experience


  • Existing vendor relationships and strong negotiation skills
