Catalog Design Manager - open to relocation, based in Los Angeles
Our client, the premier provider of high quality educational products is looking to bring on a talented Catalog Design Manager. Our client is open to relocation assistance for the right candidate, as this is role is fulltime hours, based-on site in Carson.
This role will oversee the creation of multiple annual catalogs and provide hands-on guidance and support to our graphic designers.
The successful candidate will have a “roll up your sleeves” mentality, getting actively involved in the day-to-day design and production of our catalogs and making sure that all deadlines are met. You should also possess the ability to maintain high expectations of self and staff members, plus the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment. Because this position involves working closely with staff members at all levels—from designers and production artists to company executives—a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities & Requirements
•Manage the catalog design team and the creation of all catalogs
•Provide strong art and layout direction
•Ensure product details are clearly highlighted through layout solutions and imagery
•Collaborate with Production Development, Photography and Production teams to ensure quality output
•5+ years of experience managing creative professionals
•High attention to detail
•Crystal-clear communication skills
•Technically sophisticated and Mac-savvy, with exceptional skills in Adobe Creative Suite
•Ability to assess and delegate workload
•Capacity to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
•Strong aesthetic sense and fresh, creative approach to visual problem solving
•Talent for providing art and production direction
