Category Manager, Walgreens (Beauty)

Position Overview:

In this role, you will help drive volume and share objectives for a specific customer (i.e. Walgreens). This role will leverage strategic thinking capabilities and provide detailed category analysis and insights


  • Responsible for developing and owning an accurate sales consumption forecast at the unit and dollar level for respective lines of business

  • Create category strategies based on shopper insights and trends to drive category and market share growth and partner with cross-functional teams to drive execution

  • Act as internal liaison with multiple cross-functional partners to share Category Management news & insights as it impacts business performance

  • Drive continuous improvement of team’s current methods, approaches and capabilities adapting with changing business needs to achieve more efficient and better insights

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required) 

  • 5+ years business analysis experience within CPG

  • Prior Walgreens retailer experience (preferred)

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables and Vlookups)

  • Prior experience with analytic/consumer insight tools (i.e. AC Nielsen, IRI, Loyalty, RSi Retail Solutions etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be flexible in a fast paced, dynamic team environment

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills

  • Creative and detail-oriented in ambiguous situations with a focus on execution
