Client Account Services Director

The Client Account Services Director is responsible for the administrative control of SC Studios Client Account Services including personnel management of project managers, client liaison, project management processes and procedures, and oversight of our estimation through invoicing process. The primary responsibility is to oversee all Client Account services across all studio locations including international locations. This individual is responsible for the strategic roadmap and implementation in the areas of project management, financial reporting and business analysis of existing client contacts. This individual will represent the department in defining and implementing processes of project handoff between our sales relationship team and production. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS other duties as assigned: 1. Understands the business of Straub Collaborative, the relevance and interaction of other roles within the Company, and the impact of your decisions to the overall operation of Company; represents the best interest of the Company. 2. Effectively communicates client business status, accomplishments and areas where resolution is needed to executive team on a daily basis; including attendance and contributing towards weekly planning or scheduling meetings. 3. Oversees development and training of team members on project estimates, and validating profitability; including leading the contract renewal process with existing clients. POSITION DUTIES • Oversees the project managements team’s roles, responsibilities and participation within production workflows which includes knowledge of product receipts, set builds, product preparation, styling, photography, and post. • Collaborates with other members of staff for resolution any queries or conflicts to achieve a balance between production requirements and service excellence. • Manages project management personnel including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching development, and conducting annual performance evaluations. Personnel may have dual reporting to local studio managers. Implements a management style that compliments the fast-paced, client collaborative, creative atmosphere of the Company. • Creates staff coverage plans and cross-training to accommodate client traffic volume and time off arrangements; achieves a balance between profitability, production requirements, service excellence, and staff welfare. • Stays up to date on existing client contract services and project status to act as a backup for Project Manager and for Account Support, as needed. • Respects the confidentiality regarding staff information contained in any files within the Company. • Manages flexible time off requests, expense receipts and relevant documentation and delivers to corporate accountant and human resource manager weekly. • Models and trains team members to have an awareness of Health & Safety policies and practices. • Operates against studio annual budgets, revenue targets and profitability goals; including staffing, profit and loss evaluation summaries, expenses, and accountability of estimates and invoices prepared by project managers. • Supports Business Development manager in the transition of a new business estimates to the project management team. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will supervise Project Managers across global time zones. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Higher education degree and/or certificate; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ten plus years of experience managing a team of at least five people with demonstrated leadership skills in people development, coaching, and mentoring. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules while still meeting accountabilities and essential functions. Position requires specialized computer skills. Four years content experience in utilizing web database management tools for accounting and production services in a studio or creative agency. Advanced experience using MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience using MAC operating system and using digital communication tools such as WebEx or Skype. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across organization functions and levels and to write and prepare executive-level business correspondence. Culturally relevant communication across international locations is expected. Ability to delegate effectively. Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data, and develop innovative solutions. Ability to influence decisions and outcomes cross-functionally. Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills. Organizational skills must be up to date and compatible to team requirements so teammates could execute the production flow in your absence. Must be able to see and hear to gather and input information; and respond to face-to-face and telephone inquiries. Must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. This position requires a valid driver’s license and passport. Travel requirements may be up to 40% of the time and requires the ability to travel outside of your country of residence.
