Communications Writer - temp to hire
Our client, in the education space is looking for a Communications Writer to join their team! This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate.
-Support the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives to both internal and external audiences
-Write and edit copy for both in print and online including e-mail, website, social media, PR, publications, etc.
-Collaborate with various departments across departments in production of creative requests
-Assist with updates, analysis, and optimization of online communications
-Develop and update general and program collateral material via copywriting, and editing as needed
-Execute compelling communications to drive forward the Campus Master Plan, capital campaign, and related construction activities.
-Keep pace with industry trends and developments and present research, best practices and recommendations for further innovation
-Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Solid understanding of traditional and digital marketing elements with hands-on experience in building, implementing, and optimizing communications and campaigns
-Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure with a wide range of internal constituents and external vendors
-Excellent organizational, time management, oral and written communication skills
-Strong attention to detail while being able to think strategically and understand the larger vision
-Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, SurveyMonkey, etc.)
-Demonstrated creative capability in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility regarding responsibilities
-Perform outstanding customer service at all times
-A good sense of humor and enthusiasm for a high-energy work environment
-Spanish language fluency a plus
Education and/or Experience:
-2-3 years of experience in an independent school desirable but not required.

-Demonstrated experience in job responsibilities.
-BA degree required.
-Minimum of two years equivalent experience.
