Content Marketing Manager/Copywriter

Our client, a full service ad agency is looking for a Content Marketing Manager/Copywriter. If you are great at using words to tell a story that engages potential buyers this is the role for you. As part of the agency’s marketing and sales team, you’ll develop an array of content based on a content calendar for the growth of the agency. You’ll work on our website, pillar assets, blog, social media, landing pages, email campaigns, and thought leadership We are looking for a content strategist/copywriter who can communicate the value of services to senior marketers across the country. You’ll be trained by VP of New Business on how to research and write compelling copy for a variety of content mediums, determine the best channels for distribution, and analyze performance metrics for campaign optimization.

Essential Functions

 • High level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills

 • Work with VP of Business Development on overall content strategy for each vertical market that will build awareness, drive leads

• Construct buyer journeys and topic ideation

• Establish and maintain editorial calendars and content project plans

• Develop editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone 

• Regularly produce original long- and short-form content that will engage and convert customers across all channels, including: white papers, case studies, webinars, blog posts, social posts, SEO optimized web copy, sales collateral, newsletters, and other content as needed 

• Create quality, error-free, on-time content for marketing campaigns

• Optimize all content for search engines

• Update internal and external marketing portals

• Assist with social media channels and other promotional efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred (preferably in English, Journalism, Marketing or a related field) 

• 3+ years of content marketing experience with a history of managing content marketing campaigns across multiple audiences and channels

• Highly organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work on divergent projects

• Experience in B2B email marketing, social media or PR

• Iterate quickly and effectively in response to feedback

• Excellent communicator (in both the written and verbal form)

• Core understanding of Inbound marketing methodology, SEO, conversion rate optimization, and performance metrics

• Must be a self-starter, willing to take initiative and drive results

• Skilled in WordPress (or other content management systems), PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
