Essential Functions:

1. Manage the accounting activities of the hotel including rooms, food and beverage, and events

2. Responsible for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, weekly and monthly income statements, annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow statements, inventory, and balance sheets

3. Responsible for timely reconciliations of bank accounts, cash, credit cards, balance sheets, and deposits/deferred revenue

4. Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, and sales and use tax filings

5. Serve as point person and provide information to third parties for annual audits, tax returns, and bond reporting

6. Work with HR on reviewing payroll, making payroll journal entries, and recording tips payable

7. Ensuring income journals, flash revenue and labor reports, invoice entry, and GL coding occur daily

8. Establish, implement, and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the company's value

9. Respond to management with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs

10. Participate in the creation of and oversee budgets for capital projects and compile a variety of special financial and operational reports

11. Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner

12. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions

13. Acute understanding and use of GAAP principles and financial compliance

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position is responsible for managing the accounting and reporting functions  of the business. This is a management role.
