Data Analyst

Our client, a marketing agency has an immediate need for a Data Analyst (Manager, Analytics) to deliver data-driven, actionable insights on behalf of our clients. This is a freelance position onsite that starts as soon as next week.

Ideal candidates will be fluent in the various technologies, platforms and best practices that define the online space and are passionate about understanding their impact on consumer behavior. Are you interested in developing solutions based on data-driven findings? Do you obsessively track social and digital trends? In this role, you will be a key contributor to the analytics team, driving innovative measurement strategies, leading business intelligence efforts, execution of analysis and overall market awareness and understanding.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Leverages a variety of statistical methods to compile and analyze data from online and offline sources Derives insights from data to create a compelling narrative that moves clients to act on our recommendations Creates visually compelling presentations of reporting and insights that allows a client to easily evaluate performance relative to their business objectives Creates measurement framework to evaluate program performance across paid, earned and owned channels Guides clients and account teams through the process of establishing KPIs and targets based a program’s goals and channel strategy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing, or a business related fields. Experience with relational databases and statistical analysis tools such as SAS and SQL Able to leverage scripting to complete analysis, data cleansing or data integration tasks. Proficient in at least one programming language such as R, Python or Javascript Highly proficient with data visualization tools including: Excel, Google Data Studio, Tableau or Domo

Additional Qualifications: Experience leading and producing work for a marketing analytics program – Bonus: experience with analytics for a communications program with earned media as a tactic Expertise with site analytics and social platforms including: Adobe, Google, Facebook, Twitter Experience using media intelligence, marketing intelligence, social listening or other research tools such as: Sysomos, Critical Mention, Quid, Brandwatch, Affinio, Buzzsumo, Comscore or Mintel Experience with A/B/MVT testing and optimization for site and social media content (paid and organic) Highly proficient in working with behavioral data from digital channels including SEO, paid media platforms, site analytics and organic social
