Description: • The ideal candidate would have an Innovation mindset, perspective and skills: listening, critical thinking, problem solving, future vision, optimism, can-do attitude. • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of parametric computational design tools including: Grasshopper and GH plug-in ecosystem (e.g. Weaverbird, Kangaroo, Lunchbox, Doodlebug, Pufferfish, Millepede, Crystalon, etc.), Rhino3d, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop focus). • Complementary programs include: Autodesk Fusion 360, Zbrush, Sketchbook Pro, Vectoraster, Magics, Video editing software. • Understanding of basic structural mechanics and physics. • Basic command of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint) products with Excel and incorporation of data sets into parametric design tools. • Ability to collaborate and work in cross-disciplinary teams including product design, biomechanics, production engineering, material development, fabrication, 3D printing, data insights. • Has clear visual style skills understands the importance of format and design clarity. • Ability to translate various inputs into 3D structures and plug into downstream digital methods of make (3Dprinting, textile technologies, injection molding, etc.) • Ability to learn new tools, methods and approaches. Enjoys the challenge of discovery. • Works well with direction while bringing new ideas to the fore. Can work through problems and also adapt to changes. • Capable of juggling multiple different work streams and projects, while being able to switch gears effectively. • Pays attention to detail while seeing the bigger picture. • Communicates effectively, in written and verbal form. • Can produce summary documents with supporting visuals to explain workflows. • Appreciates the boundaries of time in execution and understands the importance of punctuality.
