Design Manager

Architectural Designer

6 month contract to hire

Fremont, CA 

Client Overview: 

Our client is an award-winning brand experience firm presenting revolutionary solutions for top brands every day. Their cutting-edge, integrated, and collaborative approach distinguish them as leaders in the industry. Some of their clients include T-Mobile, FedEx, Five Guys, and many more. 

Position Overview:

Our client is a looking for an outgoing Architectural Designer/Design Manager to work onsite at one of their leading clients locations in Fremont, CA. You will be respondible for delivering store design including overseeing layout, picking fixtures, lighting, atwork, etc. 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of retail tenant improvement projects
  • Provide project team coordinator for incorporating design intent into the construction documentation
  • As a Job Captain, coordinate design intent and production schedules with CADD Technicians and provide guidance and quality control
  • Coordinate with consultants (MEP), General Contractors, Permit Expeditors, Client Project Manager and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Coordinate with Project Architect for sign/seal of construction document sets for permit

Key Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • 4+ years of professional experience
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications and construction techniques
  • Experience on construction document preparation
  • Ability to focus on s single client with a variety of project types in various stages of design/construction
  • Motivated Self Starter with a willingness and ability to work remotely with team members across the continental US
  • Proficient in AutoCad
  • Proficient in REVIT, Sketchup and other 3D modeling software preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Adobe (create, view, comment on PDF)
  • Leed accreditation is a plus
  • Must be proficient in Sketch up
