Digital Content Coordinator and Channel Strategist

Digital Content Coordinator and Channel Strategist

3 month contract to start

Remote option available

Seattle, WA

Our client, the leader in global health innovation, is seeking a Digital Content strategist for their web team to help with the final stages of preparing a large new website launch.

This is a new site, with a new structure, however a large body of content is being migrated from the current site into the new site, and there are a million small details to be managed, hundreds of pages to be reviewed, edited, and published, a couple dozen site editors to be onboarded and supported, and training documents to be developed and updated.

  • 1-2 years experience writing/editing for online publication, careful proofreader/editor
  • Familiarity with working in a website Content Management System such as WordPress, Plone, Wagtail, Drupal
  • Basic understanding of search engine optimization and keywords
  • Independent worker able to manage tasks and solve problems with minimal oversight

20% - Coordinate tasks related to the final push towards launch of a new website. Manage content-tracking documents, update project management systems, ensure assets stay well organized. Schedule and coordinate meetings and serve as a liaison to stakeholders across the company. Develop a level of expertise about the project to be able to answer questions independently. Document decisions transparently for ongoing reference.

40% - Upload, edit, clean up content (articles, pages) in the new website content management system. Collaborate with other teammates in the “final push” reviewing hundreds of articles and resources that have been migrated into the new system as drafts.  Make edits and tweaks, add tags, connect to related content, and queue for final publication.  Revise and expand user documentation as you grow more experienced in the new system and develop new workflows.

30% - Support site editors. More than 30 editors will have access to the new content management system. Serve as the first line of response to answer their questions, point them to resources, and help them successfully enter content into the new system.

10% - Other duties as assigned
