Digital Marketing Manager

Client Overview: 

Our client is a leading beauty brand, specializing in high-end hair care products. Their professional quality, innovative, and fun products enable hair stylists and beauty trendsetters to create the most beautiful hair styles.

Position Overview:

We want a self-starter with a lot of love for the beauty industry and strong Shopify knowledge to own the 360° responsibilities of all e-commerce needs related to the development and ongoing management of the ecommerce business. This role will be both the day to day executor and strategic thinker behind this website and will accomplish ecommerce project objectives by establishing project scope and goals, designing and delivering solutions and owning the user experience across all touchpoints. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

e-Commerce:

• Lead platform production, design, development, testing and launch initiatives for the amika website

• Manage the product lifestlye from all aspects of product creation including but not limited to, uploading all product related content, digital asset and assortment sheet management, merchandising, sunsetting aged products and ongoing reporting for success metrics

• Manage day-to-day execution of marketing plan including site creative development, content updates, promotions setup and email campaigns

• Ensure that all aspects of website content (homepage, collections, merchandising, item descriptions, meta tags and descriptions, etc.) are accurate and always up to date

• Responsible for updating and maintaining website content in accordance with marketing and promotional calendar

• Drive website developments as primary liaison between developers, in-house designers and brand team members

• Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis and digital marketing best practices to build successful strategies

• Create landing pages in response to planned CRM, SEM, SEO activities, seasonal calendar and marketing opportunities

• Manage the website product, promotional and release calendar

• Assess and implement tested best practice strategies to increase traffic and awareness developing deeper loyalty with our customers while increasing LTV and engagement

• Make recommendations to optimize web functionality, site architecture, user interface and navigation

• Execute A|B and multi-variant testing across all necessary areas of the site to understand, measure and refine the ideal experience for our customers

• Monitor competitive activity and react to online trends and best practices

• Meet and exceed all performance objectives (sales, sell-through, conversion, traffic, engagement, LTV, etc.)

Digital Marketing:

• Work with the digital manager to extract data from paid media efforts and identify opportunities for ongoing site enhancements, future product development and go-to-market strategies resulting in the continuing success of the online channel

• Ensure that the deployment of all paid media initiatives (PPC, Display, Social, etc.) aligns with website messaging and content

• Coordinate asset delivery and review that digital ads are running correctly

Analytics and CRM:

• Monitor all site metrics, such as bounce rate, cart abandon, fallout reporting, page load time, sessions, users, etc. Responsible for analyzing the information and recommending changes to improve performance

• Work with the analytics manager to extract more complex data and identify opportunities for ongoing site enhancements, future product development and go-to-market strategies resulting in the continuing success of the online channel

• Execute site surveys and customer data and information gathering for better understanding of our customer

• Actively manage contact list growth and health to ensure loyalty and engagement

• Assist in the execution of CRM strategies, tracking and analytics

• Support analytics manager in database segmentation and execution of the various CRM and digital strategy efforts

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology or related field

• 3+ years of hands-on e-commerce management experience

• Experience with Shopify

• Understanding of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture Site Catalyst or Coremetrics

• Experience with content management and campaign management systems

• Basic understanding of HTML and Liquid

• Working knowledge of project management tools including but not limited to: Agile trackers, Gantt Charts, Asana, Trello, MS Office Suite

• Beauty background a plus

• Proven track record of creating positive impact on all aspects of the business

• Experience with creating budgets and passionate about using data to support your recommendations

• Perform other duties as required
