Direct Acquisition and Retention Marketing Manager

Our client, a beauty brand is looking for a Direct Acquisition and Retention Marketing Manager to join their team!

Full time, direct hire
Located in Burbank

This newly created position requires a highly motivated and dedicated individual who will oversee the day-to-day success of digital marketing channels directly related to acquiring more new consumers to the growing color cosmetics brand, as well as retaining those consumers already purchasing the brand.

Responsibilities include: 
Support the overall e-commerce strategy of the company 
Develop and gain alignment with the strategy for customer acquisition for the e-commerce channel across all products and online assets in support of overall business growth and revenue targets 
Serve as the key point of contact when working with our outside Digital Agency for both strategy and execution 

Develop and execute programming for key acquisition and retention marketing including: 
Email marketing (campaign development + deployment, content creation, lead generation campaign building, triggered-based retention efforts) 
Affiliate marketing 
Paid social marketing 
SEM with understanding of Google AdWords and ideally have Google Ad Certification 
Ability to take digital marketing data and use it to to optimize campaigns and then report on campaign performance to the broader stakeholders 
Ability to effectively communicate acquisition and retention marketing strategy and results to internal team, clients, and other key stakeholders 
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of key acquisition, conversion, and retention elements via ongoing analysis and testing for ultimate efficiency 
Identify and recommend emerging trends and advancements in order to drive new business opportunities with a focus on ROI 
Lead in constructing a useful customer data set, including data appends, direct collection of customer information, and partner data 
Deploying distinct retention campaigns tailored to mobile channels 

Desired Skills and Experience 
Previous experience in a beauty, consumer product company (could be tech), or other relevant consumer company that is heavily e-commerce centric 
3-5+ years of experience in Acquisition and/or Retention marketing mediums 
Self-starter - able to identify, prioritize, and execute with a sense of urgency and excellence 
Strong communication skills with experience in presenting results and insights to all levels of the organization 
Keen knowledge of media optimization, within marketing channels and across marketing portfolio 
Experience in a rapid pace of test-learn-refine-repeat, so as to optimize all efforts continuously 
Strong analytical skills to develop fact-based analyses which then inform business decisions 
Experience building and maintaining trusting relationships across the board with stakeholders, including business leadership as well as consumer, retail, and cross-functional partners
Exceptional combination of strategic thinking and detail orientation 
Relevant industry background preferred 
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites to include Excel is required
