Director, Brand Marketing (Beauty Start-up)

Our client is a patented, award-winning DIY lash extension system.

Position Overview:

The Director, Brand Marketing will oversee the development and delivery of the brand marketing strategy to drive sales revenue and brand awareness. This person will support driving best-in-class marketing to build, expand and evolve the brand, while working closely with the creative to develop programs and analyze campaigns to ensure growth and success for the brand and its partnerships. This is a Manhattan based position, reporting into a GM, and managing a smaller marketing team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute a 360-degree marketing strategy to drive revenue growth and brand awareness

  • Build a best-in-class support team to support brand, trade and social functions

  • Refine customer segmentations through research and analysis; analyze and improve campaigns to ensure programs deliver strong ROI

  • Own marketing P&L tto drive increased efficiency

  • Manage partnership with global PR firms and oversee the development of editor, makeup artistis and celebrity relationships, gifting, and outreach

  • Develop and manage makeup artist/influencer strategy and activation; evolve celebrity alignments and sponsorships

  • Review all macro partnerships and thoroughly vet new candidates for targeted partner and brand campaigns; analyze ROI and engagement of influencers to measure campaign effectiveness


  • Bachelors degree; MBA preferred

  • 10+ years marketing experience

  • Prior cosmetic start-up & managerial experience required

  • High level of emotional intelligence

  • Must encompass strong analytical, planning, forecasting and financial capabilities
