Director of Marketing

Our client is an established, socially conscious fashion company based in Los Angeles.  They are looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to join their team. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and trustworthy leader who can lead the development & creation of marketing strategies, communications, partnerships and public relations.   

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute marketing and communication strategies around product launches and other campaigns for direct, wholesale and retail channels
  • Manage cohesive brand message across multiple platforms such as email marketing, blogs, social media, online search and display advertising, events, and other advertising channels
  • Drive the cohesive visual and brand aesthetic of the website, social media platforms, campaign collateral, and retail marketing
  • Work with CEO and President to develop and manage annual marketing strategy and budget according to company vision statements and annual sales and profitability goals that build and engage our target audiences, and advance our position in the industry
  • Evaluate and stay abreast of developments in the fields of marketing, communications, and creative direction as it relates to fashion and social enterprise
  • Identify and nurture strategic partnerships, relationships and resources that strengthen the brand and contribute to sales
  • Recruit, build and maintain a team culture that attracts, retains and motivates high quality team members (including freelance staff)
  • Lead and develop a team that is high-functioning, desirous of growth, and creatively inspired
  • Communicate marketing strategies and information to relevant cross-functional teams and external partners

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong creative, strategic, organizational and sales skills Innate understanding of brand-oriented design, copy, photography, and web
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity.
  • Experience hiring, training and developing staff Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at a time, and effectively think through complex issues and creatively problem solve
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, and proving ROI Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing or communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or public relations preferred
  • Knowledge of fashion and/or accessories industry preferred
