eCommerce Business Analyst

Leading Lifestyle brand currently looking for an eCommerce Business Analyst to join their team!

• Utilize analytics to assess consumer behavior, make website enhancements and drive growth across three e-commerce businesses. 

• Serve as in-house expert on e-commerce technology trends and best practices 
• Measure site performance on a daily basis and interface with web development team to report and resolve site issues 
• Partner with development team to make recommendations on new site extensions, systems integration, etc 
• Serve as in-house technical lead and partner with developers on the implementation of new potential e-commerce initiatives such as CRM, Email Service Provider upgrade, personalization, etc 
• Interface with operations team to ensure ongoing smooth integration of e-commerce platforms with ERP software 

• Track, report, and analyze website analytics and customer behavior to make recommendations for website and marketing enhancements 
• Focus on all aspects of the UX (such as Homepage, Checkout) to go deep into the analytics to continuously improve the customer experience 
• Partner with marketing and creative team to ensure that site enhancements and design updates are in line with UX best practices 
• Utilize A/B testing to consult with stakeholders, set-up tests, and report out on findings to make educated and calculated changes to the website 

• Lead optimization efforts to increase natural search traffic including but not limited to link building, keyword research, optimizing new and existing website content, and rankings reports.

• Create dashboards and daily/weekly/monthly reporting 
• Develop analyses that lead to actionable insights that accelerate profitable growth 
• Ability to comprehend, extract, and massage necessary information for ad-hoc reporting on key brand campaign initiatives and direct mail campaigns 
• Ensure data quality by testing tracking on site so metrics are properly captured and reported correctly 
• Provide reporting to assist e-commerce team with inventory planning and management to keep inventory levels in-line with revenue forecasting and consumer demand

• Knowledge of web/digital marketing tactics (e.g. web, e-mail, SEM), data that can be derived from them 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, operations and customer service teams 
• Talent for distilling insights from sometimes disparate pools of data, then effectively communicating audience-appropriate messages to various stakeholders including senior management 
• Ability to partner with web developers and effectively communicate in technical terms. Knowledge of basic coding a plus 
• Experience with A/B Testing 
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel 
• Experience with Google Analytics 
• Experience with Magento and Shopify 

• BA/BS with strong academic record, ideally in Economics, a quantitative social science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics etc. 
• 3-5 years of experience in a retail e-Commerce environment with a focus on digital analytics, technology, and reporting
