Ecommerce Merchandise Manager

Client Overview:

Our client is a global brand expansion and licensing agency with a full service creative team that includes product design, graphic design and marketing functions. They manage various brands within apparel, lifestyle, and home goods.

Position Overview:

The E-Commerce Merchandise Manager leads the effort of managing new dotcom only home goods, above and beyond store extensions, as well as brand strategy. This role requires strong cross functional business relationships including: product development, design, merchants, brand, marketing, and external vendor relationships. To be successful in this role, you must be someone who thrives in an ever-changing environment and leads by example. 


• Responsible for developing robust dotcom assortment for home goods and providing external market insights to help shape business partner strategies and meet business needs in multi-channel environment 
• Manage the communication process with key dot com suppliers to meet key growth Private Label initiatives 
• Continuously shop the market to find items to present to dot com merchants 
• Monitor competitors to insure we are maximizing assortment relative to competition 
• Compile offering of products to review with dot com merchants on a regular basis 
• Work closely and collaboratively with key business partners to provide content needs for ecommerce initiatives when needed 
• Cross-functional communication across various merchants to optimize digital marketing campaigns 
• Collect costing for all styles to achieve competitive pricing and strategic markup targets 
• Ensure all ecommerce product falls within or above the definition of BETTER product and the attributes are reflected in the product 
• Responsible for monitoring, reporting and analyzing merchandise performance by program & style 
• Report program and style placements and distribute final commitment summary 
• Prepare, compile, and distribute style placement packages, presentation materials for line reviews and Milestone/Upper Management meetings 
• Directly accountable for all new initiatives/categories of business as directed by senior leaders 
• Follow through on all merchandise relating to Visual Ad campaigns and photo shoots 
• Partner with team on marketing time and action calendar for each season 

Key Qualifications:

• Passion/love of product 
• Energy and enthusiasm to build and drive brand grow through ecommerce 
• Ability to be collaborative, prioritize, multi task 
• Manage workload and deadlines with minimum supervision 
• Exceptional written, verbal, and listening skills 
• Bachelors Degree in related area (ecommerce merchandising a plus) 
• Minimum 5-8 years related business experience 
• Proficiency in MS Office, powerpoint, excel 
• Ability to travel within the US and Overseas
