Email Marketing Manager

The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for assisting with development of strategy and execution of email campaigns for our client. This role will report to the Digital Marketing Director and work in close collaboration with the Sr. Email Marketing Specialist and cross functional partners within marketing, merchandising, and IT to effectively plan, set up, execute, and analyze day-to-day email marketing channel. This is a full-time, in-house role with a 6 month contract to start.

Must have *Expert proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (aka ExactTarget) ESP 

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities 
List the major duties and responsibilities of this position, in order of importance. Be brief but include all important duties. 
• Assist with managing email deliverables and executing day-to-day operational tasks to support daily email cadence in close collaboration with Digital Marketing Campaign Managers and Sr. Email Marketing Specialist including, but not limited to, setting up batch, segmented, triggered emails, loyalty, and transactional email sends 
• Provide strategic best practice insight to assist with email calendar and channel strategy to drive increased revenue and traffic against forecasted goals 
• Assist with ideation of around email marketing campaigns leveraging merchandising and marketing input and industry best practices 
• Assist with daily email setup, testing, and deployment of email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Windsor Circle 
• Assist with testing strategy, including subject lines, creative, and copy tests and derive results to improve email efficacy ongoing 
• Build, maintain and optimize triggered lifecycle email campaigns including win-back, lapsed customer, site/cart abandon, etc 
• Set up and deploy automated journeys and within Salesforce to automate incremental sends 
• Help evolve segmentation strategy based on testing and performance of prior campaigns and industry best practices 
• Test, QA, and troubleshoot email campaigns to ensure consistent quality and deliverability 
• Effectively report on campaign performance against key KPIs weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc as needed 

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field 
• 5-7 years relevant email marketing experience, retail/ecommerce experience preferred 
• At least 5 year of experience building campaigns with an Email Service Provider in a self-service model 
• HTML and SQL skills is a plus 
• Knowledge of email best practices, deliverability, CAN-SPAM legislation, email success metrics 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, implementing last-minute changes as needed 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large number of email programs simultaneously 
• Strong communication, project, time management, and analytical skills
