We’re currently recruiting for an Email Marketing Strategist to join our team at the our client’s world headquarters in Vancouver, WA. SUMMARY As part of the Direct Marketing team, the Email Marketing Strategist position will have a unique role managing the strategy of numerous email marketing campaigns. Reporting to the Acquisition & Retention Manager, the Email Marketing Strategist will be responsible for leading the optimization of the email channel for our brands; develop compelling email strategies that focus on customer prospecting, acquisition, engagement, retention and experience. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of email and promotion-based marketing. This individual must be flexible, extremely organized, able to facilitate positive working relationships and excel in a high-volume workplace. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop compelling email strategies and persuasive communications that focus on customer prospecting, acquisition, engagement, retention and experience. • Work directly with the Marketing Data & Analytics Senior Manager and supporting team to conceptualize tests, execute and scale email campaigns to new and existing customers. The ability to apply data insights and learnings to improve current and future campaigns will be a focal point of this role. • Work with the Acquisition and Retention Manager to conceptualize, create and manage the email roadmap for all our client’s ecommerce enabled brands. • Refine, focus and nurture new and existing touchpoints to increase revenue and curate an ever-evolving customer-centric message/mission. • Use insights and analytics to improve and refine strategy for all email communications across the customer journey, from brand awareness to affinity, that drives forward conversions and customer satisfaction. • Formulate compelling email strategies that rely on data insights and critical thinking to evolve messaging and move client’s brands forward. • Work cross functionally with consumer experience and insights teams to develop relevant and motivating communications to both potential and new consumers. • Coordinate efforts with key marketing channels, such as social and digital, to develop and support campaigns, sweepstakes and lead generation efforts. • Align with content teams to ensure engaging recipe, workout and fitness content is being leveraged throughout communications. • Recommend and implement ongoing process improvements to develop and define email best practices. • Be the point of contact for internal and external partners to improve unified cross-channel, customer-facing messaging on multiple platforms. • Evaluate and improve existing efforts to drive increased response from the house file. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • 4 years of digital marketing experience, preferably in direct marketing. • 2 years managing strategy for a high-volume email program. • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing and/or Business Administration. • Strong knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel. • HTML email coding experience preferred, CSS coding experience a plus. • Working knowledge and thorough understanding of email best practices. • High-level analytical and metrics-focused expertise with the ability to translate data into actionable insights • Familiarity with cloud-based or enterprise ESPs a plus. • Knowledge of Database Marketing principles, techniques, processes and experience with outbound and inbound campaign management preferred. • Excellent, customer-centric oral and written communication skills. • Detail orientated and meticulous attention to detail. • Good team player, able to communicate and build/nurture effective and positive working relationships across internal and external teams. • Fitness industry and product knowledge a plus but not required.
