Entertainment Lead Copywriter (Bilingual Spanish)- Remote Freelance

Our client, a major entertainment network has an immediate need for a Lead Copywriter, Creative Services, bilingual Spanish/English. This is a remote freelance position (40 hours a week) for about three months with potential to extend for the right candidate.

The Job

As the Lead Copywriter, you will help drive the success for the digital creative growth marketing team of our streaming service. This role concentrates attention on off-site efforts geared towards subscriber acquisition via digital ads, social media platforms, email and push notification campaigns. You will work on a customer-focused team designing high performance digital communications created to support Growth Marketing. This position works hands-on and collaboratively with innovative Graphic Designers and Project Managers to conceptualize, execute, and adapt creative concepts. You will guide other copywriters and A/V producers partnering with other peers and creating solutions to unique growth-related challenges. This job isn’t just about creating and executing top of the line creative campaigns. It’s also about building a meaningful, long-lasting relationship between our brand, millions of people, and the entertainment we all love.

The Daily  Provide insightful, inspiring creative oversight and influence during marketing campaign productions through brainstorming, conceptual development, execution and pitching stages. Solve digital marketing campaign challenges ensuring communications are up to brand standards with emphasis on messaging strategy, brand voice, tone, narrative, creative and innovative thinking message. Contribute and collaborate with other innovative writers, designers, marketers, project managers and content strategists in creating a strategy and messaging for projects to ensure that concepts meet the requirements and business objectives, Own all copy and A/V assets deliverables within Digital Creative Services. Craft compelling brand stories that will be deployed across multiple channels including display, social media and CRM to support marketing efforts with the objective to raise brand awareness, drive engagement and increase subscriptions.  Lead the creation of messages and themes that succeed across mediums, formats and all digital campaign types.  Collaborate and maintain all brand language systems, design copy and button/CTA, style, templates, mockups, user scenarios, flows and experimentation insights.  Drive constant improvement of our shoulder video content, employing new techniques, incorporating new trends and identifying successful video content from peers and competitors, to apply to existing strategies. Work with internal teams to define final edits and create audio/video assets to support banner ads, pre-roll video and other digital marketing initiatives.  Coordinate with international and regional teams on the timing, viability and localization of marketing assets. Collaborate with the Growth Marketing team to develop content and assets for specific target audiences and unique digital media platforms. Edit and review writing across peer departments as well as junior writers.

The Essentials

 7-10 years of experience at an ad agency or in-house creative team with a strong focus on digital marketing assets. Entertainment and television marketing experience are a plus.  BS/BA degree required. Portfolio of beautiful work that demonstrates a variety of marketing executions with emphasis on digital, and the mastery of standard Spanish spelling, grammar and style. Expertise in digital marketing (email, in-app, SMS/PUSH, paid social and display channels) best practices. Ability to write and produce A/V assets for all channels. Experience on producing marketing trailers and presentations, TV commercials, web content, etc.  Experience writing for SEARCH and/or specific CRM (email & push notifications) product lines highly preferred. History with positioning products or consumer brands to a targeted audience.  Experience in using analytics to derive insights and further evolve copy.  Strong time management skills and attention to detail. Strong aptitude for building effective relationships in a fast-paced, constantly changing and deadline driven environment.  An energetic, positive, creative influencer who takes a roll-up your sleeve’s approach is a must.  Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels; exceptional verbal and written communication skills. A love of television and social media, as well as a passion for staying on top of industry trends.  Knowledge of emerging trends for digital products and cross-platform content integrations. Bilingual Spanish and English. Portuguese is a plus.
